Kawasaki has introduced the 2027 Ninja 500 in India, bringing the latest model year of its middleweight sportbike to the market at an ex-showroom price of Rs 5.76 lakh.
The biggest change for 2027 is a new Lime Green colour scheme, giving the motorcycle the familiar visual identity that Kawasaki motorcycles have been associated with for decades. Bookings for the new Ninja 500 have opened through authorised Kawasaki dealerships in India, with deliveries expected to begin from the end of August 2026.
While the colour scheme is new, Kawasaki has retained the mechanical package of the existing Ninja 500.
A Fresh Kawasaki Look
The 2027 Ninja 500 will be offered in a single Lime Green colour option for Indian customers. The paintwork is accompanied by contrasting white and blue graphics, adding to the motorcycle’s sporty appearance.
The bike continues with the sharp and compact styling seen across Kawasaki’s Ninja range. Twin LED headlights dominate the front, while the slim rear section and side-mounted exhaust give the motorcycle a clean sportbike profile.
For riders who prefer the traditional Kawasaki racing-inspired appearance, the Lime Green colour is likely to be the main attraction of the 2027 model.
451cc Parallel-Twin Engine
The Ninja 500 continues to be powered by a 451cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine.
The motor produces 45 PS at 9,000 rpm and 42.6 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox and comes equipped with an Assist and Slipper Clutch.
The system is designed to make the clutch lever easier to operate while also helping control rear-wheel behaviour during aggressive downshifts.
The engine’s low and mid-range performance makes the Ninja 500 suitable for more than just weekend rides. Riders can use it for city commuting, while the parallel-twin engine also offers enough performance for highway touring and longer journeys.
