Welcome to The RV Book Fair! Ullis, tell us about your latest book and what inspired you to write it.
I was contacted by an international journalist, author, and a friend of mine. She said, “You and I are going to write an inspiring, interesting, and important book about the Soul together”. I started straight away and was ready with my part in 3 weeks. I waited for my friend to start to write her part. After she had read my part, she said: “It is very clear to me this book is channeled. It is amazing as it is and I don’t want to interfere with my energy, my part. So this is going to be your book and I would be happy to be your editor.
How do you approach the process of writing? Do you have a specific routine or ritual?
Writing comes very naturally and easily to me. I take long walks every day to pause, rest from the computer, and reflect. I just sit down, and channel/download from The Akashic records, and all of my own life experiences and write it all down. I am very disciplined as I love the creational process and see letters created, connected into meaningful and high vibrational words and meanings – and finally manifested into a book to hold in my hands. To
feel this manifestation in my hands feels like holding a beloved baby every time.
How do you choose the title for your books, and how important do you think book titles are in attracting readers?
The titles come easily to me – they are channeled from the Akashic records. I think the tiles are very important as the title is on the cover and attracts your eyes first. I truly believe a title can be inspiring and interesting – or also challenging as my book Holy F*ck and Sacred Water – The Secret Connections to Everything. Either way is good as it creates curiosity, and an openness to know more – and to read the book.
What themes or messages do you hope readers will take away from your work?
I want my readers to be inspired, interested, and motivated, and to see the connection of the dots I present to them… I want my readers to reflect upon the importance of balancing body/mind and soul. How to increase their consciousness and to change their lives. I want them to see/know how to create new lives/realities more aligned with who they are on a Soul level. I want my books to be like a ripple effect so that we can co-create a better
and more conscious world together.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not writing? Any hobbies or interests that influence your writing?
I love to do and to teach Yoga. I love to be out in nature with my dog. I love to live a simple life with my boyfriend, and my dog in my mobile home – close to nature. I love to have an amazing talk about existence, Life, and the Universe and how we can create a more conscious world! I love to bake. I love to write books and be on podcasts talking about all of this that I am passionate about. To me, my hobbies are my life, they are very much connected as “I walk the talk”. I live like I teach – And I am lucky to do what I love, in all areas of life.
What advice do you have for aspiring authors who are looking to get their first book published?
I have published most of my 5 books by myself. I think there are positive and negative aspects of publishing your book, versus having a publisher – as with everything in life…
To me, there are more advantages to doing it myself as I know how I want the books to look like, with the strong titles, etc. I don’t want to have any interference – as freedom is one of my core values in life. To be free in body/mind and Soul, to be free to write what I want, when I want, how I want… I need that freedom and my authentic expression. Yet I can see
that the positive side of having a publisher is that you (hopefully) have someone who “has your back” and you might get the help to market it, sell it, etc. feel in on what is resonating with you.
Do you have any upcoming projects or future writing plans that you like to share with your readers?
I am right now doing the second edition of Holy F*ck and Sacred Water – The Secret Connections to Everything.. Let me tell you – if it was amazing before it is even more so now! There is so much information coming through, that also is supported by studies, articles, etc so it is expanding into 3 volumes… Each one jammed with more science, taboo topics, alternative truths, and “conspiracy theories”. It will be a game changer, a “jaw dropper” and pure magic and wow´s.
How has your writing evolved or changed throughout your career?
I trust my intuition so much more. I feel the book, I know how it looks like, what it feels like before it is manifested as a book. I trust all of me more, and it is visible also in my writing. I also trust that my own private experiences resonate with many, and therefore are very
important to share. I know my Soul´s mission more, why I am here, who I am, and how to guide others through their ascension process. Simply, I have more intuition and more trust.
Are there any books or authors that you revisit or re-read for inspiration or comfort?
I love to re-read Holy F*ck or The Sacred Soul for inspiration. It seems like every
time I re-read them, I learn and discover something new – even though I wrote the books I am just amazed every time. I also feel proud when I read them as there is so much wisdom there. It reminds me why I wrote them – to create a more conscious and loving world where we all can thrive and let our Souls shine! And that the books are important tools in our ascension process.
In your opinion what is the most challenging aspect of writing, and how do you overcome it?
To be honest, the most challenging aspect of writing for me is that it quite expensive to write and publish a book. Especially if you do everything yourself and don’t have a publisher to support you or cover the expenses. I have invested a lot of time, love, energy, and money in my books. I learned from my first book where I ordered 1000 books from a printing company. I still have perhaps 200 of them in my basement. So, a lot of that love, time, energy, and money is just lying there in my basement – where they are of no good for
anyone. From that experience, I learned only to print on demand. Another challenge is to make the book visible once it is out. It is easy to write a book, but to uphold the energy and market, advertise, and sell it over and over again takes a lot of resilience, persistence, courage, and energy … but in the end, it is worth it. Of course, it is.
