Renowned designer Anamika Khanna has launched a limited edition fusion collection for her label AK|OK, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern silhouettes. The collection, which embraces individuality and self-expression, features actress Banita Sandhu as the face of its latest campaign.
Khanna describes the collection as a celebration of imperfection and contradictions. “It’s about creating designs that allow women to interpret fashion confidently. Banita embodies the spirit of this collection—fearless, authentic, and unapologetically herself,” she shared.
The collection juxtaposes structured tailoring with deconstructed elements, featuring vibrant hues alongside monochrome and neutral tones. Rich textures come to life through heritage craft techniques like zari embroidery and lacework, paired with luxurious fabrics including velvet, denim, and silk.
Key pieces include a patchwork mini dress with a matching blazer and tactile mini skirts, offering a fresh take on contemporary fashion. In the campaign, Sandhu showcases the collection in bold, fusion-inspired looks, complemented by dramatic makeup and slicked-back hair.
The AK|OK collection is available through the brand’s direct-to-customer e-commerce store and premium multi-brand boutiques like Ogaan and Ensemble India. The brand also operates a flagship store at Palladium Mumbai.
