Hyundai has launched the updated 2026 Hyundai Verna in India, starting at ₹10.98 lakh (ex-showroom). This popular mid-size sedan features subtle design updates, new features, and improved safety gear, while keeping the same engine options. It comes in six variants: HX2, HX4, HX6, HX6 Plus, HX8, and HX10.

The updated Verna offers two engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol, both available with several transmission choices.

The 2026 Verna receives subtle cosmetic refinements. The front headlamp cluster has been updated with a cleaner housing that integrates LED projector headlamps, LED indicators, and LED fog lamps.
The car retains its distinctive connected LED daytime running light strip across the front and the familiar black grille design.
At the rear, the styling remains largely unchanged with connected LED tail lamps and bold “Verna” lettering.

New Colour Options
Hyundai has expanded the colour palette with two new shades:

- Titan Grey (Matte Finish)
Existing colors such as Starry Night, Atlas White, and Abyss Black are still available. You can also get Atlas White with a black roof for a dual-tone look.
Interior and Features
Inside, the Verna keeps its black-and-white interior and dashboard design. The steering wheel now features Hyundai’s new Morse-code-style logo, which stands for the letter “H”.
New feature additions include:

- 4-way power adjustable passenger seat
- Powered tailgate
- Rear window sunshades

Safety has been strengthened in the new Verna. The sedan now comes with seven airbags instead of six.

The updated Verna competes with other mid-size sedans in India, such as the:

- Skoda Slavia
- Volkswagen Virtus
Both Slavia and Virtus are expected to receive facelift updates later this year, which could intensify competition in the segment.
