Honda India has officially launched the NX200 in India at Rs. 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The NX200 is essentially a rebranded version of the CB200X, which has been available in the market for a few years. The decision to rename the model aligns with Honda’s strategy to leverage the NX branding, which holds better recognition and value in India.
Positioning in Honda’s Lineup
With this latest launch, Honda now offers two NX-series motorcycles in India—the NX200 and its larger sibling, the NX500. The renaming of the CB200X to NX200 is expected to strengthen its appeal among adventure touring enthusiasts.
Design & Feature Enhancements
While the NX200 retains most of the styling elements from the CB200X, Honda has introduced minor design refinements. However, the real improvements come in the feature department:
- Dual-channel ABS for enhanced braking safety.
- TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth integration, providing modern connectivity and convenience.
Engine & Performance
The NX200 continues to be powered by the 184cc single-cylinder engine, now updated to meet OBD2B compliance. While the performance figures remain unchanged, Honda has not yet disclosed the official fuel efficiency figures for the new model.
Availability & Booking Details
The Honda NX200 will be sold through the brand’s premium dealerships and will be available in three color options. Bookings have already commenced, with deliveries expected to begin in March.
With the addition of advanced features and a refreshed identity, the Honda NX200 is set to offer a more compelling package for riders seeking a versatile, entry-level adventure tourer.
