Hello Diann, welcome to BrandEducation! What is your favorite word?
Blessings
Because if everyone wished each other blessings, we could keep love in our hearts.
What is the last book I read?
A light-hearted trivia guidebook to the movie “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” by Mark Leslie Lefebvre’s book, “The Canadian Mounted”.
What is the book that changed your life?
A book I read in 5th grade called “Beautiful Joe” by Margaret Saunders.
It was published in 1894 and became a bestseller that sparked more humane treatment for animals. It came back in print in an updated version, and I have the book to this day.
What book made you want to become an author?
I have always been a storyteller, whether on stage, in the classroom, or with my children, so it only seemed natural that one day I would put my stories to print.
What is my favorite thing about being an author?
When my readers write me to tell me how much my stories inspire them or their loved ones.
What makes you laugh the most?
My husband. He is so clever and can make up the funniest sayings, songs, and faces.
If you were a superhero, what powers do you have?
If I were a superhero, I would have a magic wand to make leaders work together in peace and others not want to be violent towards others but learn how to listen and communicate.
If you could tell my younger self anything, what would it be?
To be like my role models, dad, mom, and Grandma Ruby, never to give up and keep moving forward. Believe in yourself because how do you expect others if you can’t?
What are your guilty pleasures?
Anything with Chocolate! Chocolate cake, brownies, in my coffee, candy, you name it.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I like to watch movies, sing, and travel with my husband.
State a random fact about yourself that would surprise our readers?
I love to go zip-lining and white water rafting, and I have only been rappelling once in Costa Rica,
Who are your cheerleaders?
My family.
What is the single most important reason for your success?
I never gave up. I just kept writing my stories till one day, a publisher said yes, and the rest is history.
How do you generate Ideas?
An idea pops into my head, and then I think about it, and before I know it, the story unfolds.
What’s the key lesson you want everyone to take away from your work?
I hope my readers enjoy the themes of my stories. The themes vary depending on the story’s message; my themes are kindness, peace, imagination, and loving yourself just the way you are.
