When every brand is set to launch its TV in the market, how can Redmi stay away from the race? Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi, is all set to unveil its first-ever smart TV. Redmi took to Weibo to tease the Redmi TV launch.
According to the teaser on Weibo, the Redmi TV will launch its smart TV in China on August 29. It will be a 70-inch smart TV. The upcoming Redmi TV too will run Patchwall UI, same as Xiaomi’s smart TV. The Redmi TV is expected to have feature like 4K HDR support, Dolby sound support, and a Bluetooth Voice Remote.
In China, the Redmi TV (model number L70M5) recently has passed 3C certification. Parent company Xiaomi is already selling its 75-inch Mi TV models in China, which is priced around CNY 5,199 (approximately Rs 52,000). The upcoming Redmi TV has slightly smaller display is likely to be cheaper than that.
