Author, mother, horse trainer, and part-time healthy food cook, Virginia Fox is a woman who cares deeply about family, animals, the environment, and friendships.
Creative from a young age, she turned her love of books into a prolific career as a writer. Her German-language Rocky Mountain series saw every volume enter the Top 50 of the Kindle charts on day one of launch. Now the bestselling Rocky Mountain Romances series breaks onto the US scene.
Set in the Rocky Mountains with a cast of characters who feel like instant friends, Virginia captures the essence of a life most people only dream about in Rocky Mountain Romances. The genre-skipping series features elements of sweet romance, dabs of suspense, a little bit of mystery, and a whole lot of new friends – both human and of the furry variety.
Virginia Fox lives on a small ranch near Zurich with her family, her Australian cattle dog, and two moody tomcats. When she isn’t writing, she delights in caring for her horses and cooking for her family. Discover more on Virginia Fox’s website.
· Hello Virginia, welcome to BrandEducation! How does it feel to release 5 book series in 5 months?
It’s actually pretty crazy but also wonderful. I mean I am used to publishing often and fast, in the German edition I published a new book every 3 months, but every month? That’s quite a rush.
·Can you tell us more as to why horses are your mediation?
Working with horses always centers me. They demand your full attention and keep you absolutely in the present. No time for worries or regrets. It helps me to put everything in the right perspective and balances my emotions.
·Tell us about the recipes in your book and the healthy snacks.
As a mother healthy cooking is needed. It’s also something I need to do anyway. So why not go ahead and cook something that is healthy and delicious anyway? the recipes in my books vary from a couple more elaborate dishes to the most basic things that you can cook from scratch. Tasty doesn’t mean you have to slave in the kitchen for hours. I don’t have the time for that. Nobody does actually. So, with my recipes I want my non cooking readers to do experience exactly that and for the chefs under my readers just to share a yummy recipe.
·Talk to us briefly about the value of family and friendship and the importance of connection.
To bring it back to nature and the origin of humanity, we are pack members at our core. The need to belong and to connect is deeply ingrained in us. In today’s fast-paced world with a lot of screentime it is important not to lose sight of that important human need. Additionally, it can be overwhelming to look at the many challenges in the world. It can leave us feeling hopeless and powerless. But, and I think this is very useful to remember, we all have the power to change the small world around us. In being kind. Non-judgmental. Open. Supportive. Having each other’s back. That doesn’t mean we have to be upbeat all the time or like everybody. That’s not realistic. But it does mean if a situation calls for it, we can have each other’s backs.
·What was your favorite book before becoming a writer?
I couldn’t choose one of those many books I love. That’s just impossible since I read 4 – 5 books a week.
My favorite writers were Jude Deveraux, Nora Roberts, Neil Gaiman, Lee Childs, J.K. Rowling, Tolkien, Ilona Andrews and many many more.
