Gardein is launching vegan Nashville hot chicken

Plant-based meat brand Gardein is all set to launch vegan spicy Nashville hot chicken later this summer. Vegan Nashville hot chicken which will be made from wheat and pea protein.

The new Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders are made from a mix of wheat and pea protein and have a crispy breadcrumb coating along with the spicy seasoning. A recent Nielsen report revealed that the sales of vegan meat are growing ten times faster than animal-based meat. Vegan meat sales climbed 37% in the year 2018, whereas animal-based meat fell by 2%.

Conagra Brands-owned Gardein is the second-largest meat-free brand with sales of more than $170 million, after Kellogg-owned MorningStar Farms.
