Golden State native and new artist Nicole Marden has teamed up with Fierce & Fabulous Revolution to premiere her official music video for her latest single Obsession today. This song is also available everywhere digitally.
With the current success of this single and securing industry feedback from several media outlets, this fun and flirty summer anthem “is inspired by that feeling you get when you aren’t quite ready to date seriously after a heartbreak, but miss those butterflies from a new crush,” says Nicole. “It’s also about letting go of resentment of love not going your way and just having a little fun without the pressure of expectations.”
The video was filmed in LA and directed by Nashville videographer Rachel Deeb (Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, etc). “I honestly did not think she would have time to work with an indie artist like me, but she is also from California and was coming home for a week so we were able to work it out. She was an absolute dream to work with. I love how it turned out and can’t wait for everyone else to see it!”
With her band featured in the video as well, Nicole recalls the stress in not knowing if the video was actually going to happen. “We shot the video during the pandemic, so I was convinced it would not actually happen due to the roller coaster of closures in California. But a week before, everything started to open back up and to my disbelief we actually got to do the music video!”
Obsession is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and all other digital retailers. You can follow Nicole on her website and on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube to stay up-to-date on her upcoming events and performances.
