Hello Sara, welcome to BrandEducation! What made you start writing?

I have always had a need to write, but for the longest time, I would only jot down incomplete stories on scrap pieces of paper that I would throw away afterwards. It was a frustrating habit that left me feeling unfulfilled. However, I’ve recently made a conscious effort to commit to my writing and see it through to completion. It’s still a work in progress, but I feel more fulfilled now that I’m actively pursuing my passion.

How did education help you on your journey as a writer? Was there any additional help you received to publish your debut novel?

I was fortunate enough to learn various writing techniques in my English classes during middle school. We covered topics like writing a balanced argument or a graph analysis and even dove into the art of storytelling. Though I took no formal writing courses, I perfected my skills by reading and analyzing other books and storylines.

When it came time to publish my book, “Oblivion,” I sought the guidance of Claudia Marta. With her impressive international experience and successful track record of launching children’s and non-fiction books, her help was critical in ensuring the success of my book’s publication on a global scale.

What advice would you give teens willing to pursue a career in writing?

Just go for it. Stories are a powerful tool for understanding the world around us. They allow us to connect with others and learn from different perspectives. Whether it’s through reading books, watching movies, or hearing someone’s personal experiences, stories can inspire and inform us in countless ways. So, if you have a story, don’t hesitate to share it. Just go for it and see where it takes you!

Oblivion’s book launch sounds like a beautiful opportunity to connect with others and share your ideas.
