AG Barr to launch an energy drink under its Irn-Bru brand

AG Barr is to launch Irn-Bru Energy drink, which will roll out to Scotland, Ireland and the north of England from July in two variants: sugar and no-sugar. The drink will have the flavour of Irn-Bru with taurine, caffeine, B vitamins and the taste of an energy drink. Also, it will contain 32mg of caffeine per 10cl.

AG Barr marketing director Adrian Troy said: “Energy drinks are a really fast-growing, exciting market and we’re confident Irn-Bru Energy will wake up and shake up energy drink fans in Scotland and beyond.”
