PepsiCo’s popular lemon-flavoured drink, 7UP, has enlisted the help of south Indian actor Rashmika Mandanna as its brand ambassador in a new partnership aimed at strengthening its connection with young consumers across India.
In addition to the announcement, 7UP has also released a light-hearted video featuring Mandanna alongside Fido Dido, the brand’s iconic mascot. “Rashmika with her refreshing and lively personality has quickly become one of the most loved youth icons of India and is truly a great match for 7UP,” said Naseeb Puri, Senior Marketing Director at PepsiCo India.
The move is part of a larger push by beverage companies to ramp up supplies and increase marketing efforts ahead of the upcoming summer season. Rashmika will be featured in 7UP’s new television commercial set to launch across traditional and digital platforms nationwide in the near future.
