Yamaha Launches New Tricity 125 and 155 Scooters in Japan
Trikes may not be a common sight in India, but Yamaha’s latest Tricity 125 and 155 scooters have recently been launched in Japan, adding to the existing lineup in ASEAN markets and Europe. The Tricity 125, which was first introduced in 2014, has been updated with a new name and design, featuring a strong engine and stylish appearance.

Powered by a variable valve actuation system and an engine start/stop system that utilizes Blue Core technology, the Tricity 125 can produce a maximum of 11.7 Nm of torque and 9 HP at 7500 rpm. Its unique anchorman steering system and two front wheels make for an exceptionally comfortable ride, while twin shock absorbers and a disc brake enhance safety and stability.

The Tricity 125 is priced at Euro 4,299 (approximately Rs 3.50 lakh), with the Tricity 155 priced at Euro 4,999 (approximately Rs 4.08 lakh). Both models have received updates to their bodywork, including a new rear fender, base, and ignition switch, to accommodate various technological advancements. The 2022 Yamaha Tricity 125 is available in Petrol Blue, Sand Gray, and Matt Gray.
