Create a Google My Business profile – 90% of Search traffic comes through Google, so if Google knows who you are and what you offer, so will everyone else. You’ll also get a spot on Google Maps automatically, so your customers will be able to find you in a number of ways.

Pick a domain name that’s both relevant to your business and also directly related to the type of service or products it offers. This will be your business’s identity on the internet (and in the real world). Make sure it’s easy to remember!

Get familiar with your top keywords – that is – the words that are used most when talking about or looking for your business. Make sure those keywords are used often on your website, descriptions and any listings. Repetition is relevancy! But don’t overdo it, you still want your content to be an enjoyable read.

Create pages on your website that focus on solving the problems your business provides the solutions to. Try to use your top keywords so you rank for those keywords, you need content around that keyword to attract attention and bring people from Search Engines to your site. Volume = Power!

You may also want to consider hiring an SEO agent to create content (using your keywords!) that links back to your website. This will increase your website’s domain authority and also increase your site’s rankings for the featured keywords.

Some of these things may take some time, but they will be worth it. Usually it takes 3-6 months for SEO effort to pay off, so the sooner you get your site and in the running, the sooner you’ll start seeing business come in naturally and organically.
