Despite its eco-friendly origins, ECONYL still posed a problem due to the release of microplastics when washed. Undeterred, Reformation returned to the drawing board for a more sustainable solution.
Enter Italian fabric manufacturer Fulgar and their innovative biobased textile, EVO. Derived from the castor plant, EVO is soft, renewable, and entirely plastic-free. Unlike traditional synthetic fabrics, the production of EVO requires minimal water, making it a more environmentally friendly choice. With this new material in hand, Reformation set out to create a swimwear line that not only looked good but also did good for the planet.
The result? A collection of one-piece swimsuits and elegant bikinis that seamlessly transition from the beach to the bar. Available in classic solid colors as well as signature dotted, checked, and floral prints, there’s something for every style preference. And with sizes ranging from XS to XL, inclusivity is at the forefront of Reformation’s ethos.

In a bid to reduce waste, a small portion of the new swimwear collection still utilizes leftover ECONYL from previous collections.
