NCDEX to soon launch moong dal futures

Moong, the most important pulse of Indian pulses basket, will soon be available on the futures platform. After getting approval from SEBI, National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) is all set to launch unprocessed whole raw moong (Not for direct human consumption) futures contract on 8th July, 2019.

Merta city, a prominent producing hub of Rajasthan will remain as basis delivery center for moong Futures, while Nokha, Jodhpur and Sri Ganganagar will be additional delivery centers. India being the highest producer of moong worldwide with more than 70 per cent share, has a huge value chain of this high protein pulse.
