Sam Edelman, the fashion and footwear brand known for its signature ballerina flats, has launched its very first fragrance. The perfume, called Duet Eau de Parfum, has been created in partnership with Parlux Ltd.
Duet is inspired by the creative and romantic partnership of founders Sam and Libby Edelman. The fragrance is described as a celebration of harmony and duality, capturing the spirit of timeless connection.
The Fragrance Notes
Firmenich perfumer Alexandra Monet developed the scent.
- Top notes: Mandarin, grapefruit, and fig bring a bright and fruity start.
- Heart notes: Coconut water, gardenia, and cassis add freshness with a floral touch.
- Base notes: Cedarwood, white suede, and musk create a smooth and lasting finish.
This mix makes Duet a floral, watery fragrance that combines light freshness with depth and warmth.
A Bottle With a Story
The perfume is packaged in a rose-gold bottle shaped like a ballet slipper, complete with ribbon-like details and a bow at the toe. The design is a tribute to Sam Edelman’s iconic ballet flats, which became a fashion classic after their U.S. launch in 1987.
Charlotte Lawrence as Global Ambassador
The launch is supported by a campaign starring singer, songwriter, and actress Charlotte Lawrence as the global brand ambassador. The campaign also features her track Ballerina from her debut album, tying music and storytelling into the fragrance’s theme.
Availability and Price
Duet Eau de Parfum is now available internationally. In India, the 100 ml bottle will be priced at around ₹19,900.
With this launch, Sam Edelman adds a new chapter to its brand story, expanding from shoes and fashion into beauty, while keeping its core themes of elegance, romance, and creativity at the centre.
