Royal Enfield has officially launched the 2026 Continental GT 650 in India, with prices starting at Rs 3,58,427 (ex-showroom, Chennai). The updated café racer retains its iconic design and proven 648cc parallel-twin engine while introducing a handful of practical upgrades and refreshed styling details.
The 2026 model receives LED turn indicators, a USB Type-C charging port, and a black-painted instrument cowl, giving the motorcycle a more contemporary feel without changing its classic café racer identity. The updates are subtle, but they add everyday convenience for riders who use smartphones and modern riding accessories.
Four Colour Options Available
Royal Enfield is offering the new Continental GT 650 in four factory colour schemes:
- Rocker Red – Rs 3,58,427
- British Racing Green – Rs 3,58,427
- Apex Grey – Rs 3,80,921
- Mr. Clean – Rs 3,87,667
The Rocker Red variant now features a fully blacked-out engine, exhaust and alloy wheels, giving it a darker, sportier appearance. Meanwhile, British Racing Green and Mr Clean continue to feature polished engine finishes and traditional spoke wheels, preserving their retro character.
Same 648cc Twin-Cylinder Engine
Mechanically, the Continental GT 650 remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by Royal Enfield’s 648cc air- and oil-cooled parallel-twin engine, producing 47 bhp and 52 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, delivering smooth, relaxed performance that has made the GT 650 one of the brand’s most popular motorcycles.
The bike also retains its steel tubular double-cradle frame developed with Harris Performance, along with telescopic front forks and twin gas-charged rear shock absorbers.
Classic Café Racer, Now More Practical
While the overall silhouette remains unmistakably Continental GT, the new LED indicators and USB Type-C port make the motorcycle better suited for modern touring and daily riding. The low clip-on handlebars, sculpted fuel tank and committed riding position continue to capture the spirit of the British café racers that inspired the model.
Rather than reinventing the Continental GT 650, Royal Enfield has focused on refining an already successful formula. The result is a motorcycle that stays true to its heritage while offering thoughtful updates that riders will genuinely appreciate.
