The Redmi 17 range has been extended to the global markets with the introduction of the Redmi 17 5G and Redmi 17 4G in Malaysia. These smartphones place a strong emphasis on battery life, featuring a large 7,500mAh battery, a 120Hz display, and a 50MP rear camera.

The 4G version of the Redmi 17 starts at MYR 669, which is about Rs 16,000, for the variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The Redmi 17 5G has a starting price of MYR 769, or about Rs 18,000, for the 4GB + 128GB version. The 4GB + 256GB model costs MYR 869, which is approximately Rs 20,000.
The two smartphones are currently available via Xiaomi’s online store in Malaysia.
The Redmi 17 4G is available in black, deep blue, lotus purple and oak green, whereas the 5G model is offered in black, deep blue and vivid orange.
Large 6.9-inch 120Hz Display
Both Redmi 17 models are equipped with a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 240Hz touch sampling. The screen has a maximum brightness of 825 nits and is covered by Gorilla Glass 7i.
The phones also have an IP64 rating which means they are resistant to dust and water splashes.
