JLR has launched the Range Rover Sport Twenty Edition in India, priced at Rs. 1.90 crore, as a special model celebrating 20 years of the Range Rover Sport.
The new edition brings exclusive design details, a powerful V8 engine and several features inspired by the high-performance Range Rover Sport SV. Based on the Range Rover Sport Autobiography, the Twenty Edition has been created to mark two decades of one of the brand’s most successful luxury SUVs.
One of the most noticeable features of the special edition is its exclusive ‘TWENTY’ detailing. The SUV gets special etching on the exterior, illuminated ‘TWENTY’ treadplates and dedicated branding on the centre console.
Buyers can choose from several exterior colours, including the striking Sanguinello Orange, which takes inspiration from the original Range Stormer concept and the Vesuvius Orange Range Rover Sport First Edition. More understated options include Santorini Black and Ostuni White.
The SUV can also be equipped with a black exterior pack for a darker and more aggressive appearance. It comes with 23-inch Gloss Sparkle Silver wheels, while Gloss Black wheels are also available.
Inside, the Range Rover Sport Twenty Edition continues the performance-focused theme. It features Ebony Windsor performance seats inspired by those used in the Range Rover Sport SV. The sculpted seats combine a sporty design with the comfort and luxury expected from a Range Rover.
The cabin also receives forged carbon veneers and a black suede cloth headlining, giving the interior a darker and more performance-oriented look.
Power comes from JLR’s 4.4-litre Twin-Turbo V8 mild-hybrid petrol engine, producing 529bhp and 750Nm of torque. The powerful SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 4.5 seconds.
The Twenty Edition also comes with an electronic active differential with torque vectoring by braking, all-wheel steering, Terrain Response programmes and dynamic air suspension.
Speaking about the launch, Rajan Amba, Managing Director of JLR India, said the Range Rover Sport has built a strong connection with Indian customers over the past two decades and that the special edition celebrates the bold character and sporting luxury that have defined the model.
