Range Rover has launched the new Sport SV in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.05 crore. This high-performance SUV is a more accessible option in the Sport lineup, sitting just below the limited-run SV Edition Two. It combines luxury, advanced technology, and powerful V8 performance.
The new Sport SV costs Rs 30 lakh less than the Edition Two, making it a more attainable choice for those seeking top-level performance in a luxury SUV. Bookings are now open across India, and deliveries are expected to start in August 2026.
This launch is notable because the new Sport SV is one of the first Jaguar Land Rover models in India to benefit from new pricing under the India-UK Free Trade Agreement. This has helped improve its market position.
In terms of design, the SUV keeps the strong and simple look of the standard Range Rover Sport but adds sporty visual upgrades. The front has a blacked-out grille, bigger air intakes, a bold bumper, and a noticeable splitter for a more performance-oriented appearance.
From the side, the India version comes with exclusive 22-inch black forged alloy wheels. A black roof and dark exterior accents add to its stealthy look. At the back, quad exhaust pipes, a sporty roof spoiler, and ‘SV’ badges set it apart from regular Sport models.
Range Rover also offers five exclusive paint options for the Indian market: Satin Green, Matte Orange, Gloss Blue, Matte Violet, and Gloss Teal.
Inside, the Sport SV blends luxury with sporty details. It has perforated Windsor seats in a Light Cloud and Ebony color scheme, illuminated SV scuff plates, and extra leather trim for a more premium feel.
The SUV is packed with features, including a 13-inch touchscreen, a 13.7-inch digital driver display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 29-speaker Meridian Signature sound system, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and heated and ventilated seats for both front and rear passengers.
Under the hood, the new Range Rover Sport SV uses a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology. It delivers 635 PS and 750 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
The SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, which is supercar-level speed for a large SUV. To boost handling and stability, the Sport SV features an advanced 6D Dynamics suspension system that reduces body roll and pitch during sharp turns and braking.
With its mix of luxury, technology, and high performance, the new Range Rover Sport SV targets buyers who want premium SUV comfort along with sports car-like acceleration and excitement.
