Mars Wrigley India has relaunched its iconic chocolate brand, Galaxy, with a new recipe, a fresh design, and a modern identity, led by actor Mrunal Thakur as the brand’s new face. The relaunch marks a bold new chapter for Galaxy, positioning it as a symbol of confidence, individuality, and self-expression.
The new campaign, titled ‘Take Pleasure’, has been conceptualised by DDB Tribal. It celebrates women who embrace small, everyday moments of joy and self-indulgence.
Through a series of short films, the campaign beautifully captures women taking time for themselves -dancing freely, enjoying a quiet cup of coffee, or simply pausing to breathe amid a busy day.
The message is simple yet powerful: self-care isn’t selfish, it’s essential.
Speaking about the relaunch, Nikhil Rao, Chief Marketing Officer of Mars Wrigley India, said:
“Today’s Indian woman is rewriting the rules — juggling ambition, relationships, and self-expression on her own terms. In a world that often asks her to do it all, she forgets to pause and savour moments that belong only to her.
The new Galaxy, with its smooth, creamy texture and rich taste, is that little everyday indulgence — a reminder that self-care isn’t selfish, it’s essential.”
Anant Agarwal, Strategic Demand Manager at Mars Wrigley India, described the relaunch as a step towards a more expressive and modern identity for the brand.
“With this relaunch, Galaxy unveils a bold new avatar where indulgence meets individuality. Every element — from packaging to product experience, has been crafted for those who take pleasure not just in their chocolate, but in who they are,” he said.
The creative team behind the campaign aimed to challenge the notion that self-indulgence is selfish.
Rahul Mathew, Chief Creative Officer, DDB Mudra Group, explained:
“Many women in India feel that giving time to themselves is an act of selfishness. With Galaxy, we wanted to take away the guilt from self-indulgence and give women the license to be at the centre of their own galaxy.”
Anusheela Saha, Creative Head at DDB Tribal, added:
“The new Galaxy ads are about effortless and unapologetic self-indulgence — what we call the ‘Take Pleasure’ moment. Choosing Galaxy is an act of self-love and freedom from the pressure to be perfect all the time.”
Known for her grace, confidence, and relatable charm, Mrunal Thakur perfectly embodies Galaxy’s refreshed spirit. Her presence in the campaign represents a modern woman who celebrates her individuality and doesn’t shy away from treating herself.
The all-new Galaxy range, featuring its smoother, creamier chocolate and refreshed design, is now available across leading offline and online retail platforms in India.
With this relaunch, Mars Wrigley aims to make Galaxy more than just a chocolate; it’s a symbol of self-love, confidence, and everyday pleasure for today’s generation.
