India’s wellness space is shifting. It’s no longer just about indulgence or escape. It’s about balance, prevention, and building lasting habits. Tapping into this shift, EBG Group has appointed Mrunal Thakur as the brand ambassador for its wellness and hospitality platform, Carlton Wellness.
The association will begin in FY 2025–26 and marks a strategic move as the group accelerates plans to scale wellness offerings across India, from urban spas to destination-led retreats.
According to EBG Group, the decision to bring Thakur on board was rooted in alignment rather than star power alone. Dr. Irfan Khan, the group’s chairman and founder, described her as a natural embodiment of the brand’s values. Calm confidence, emotional strength, discipline, and a sense of understated luxury were central to that thinking.
Carlton Wellness positions itself around holistic, preventive, and longevity-focused wellbeing. Thakur’s public image, shaped by balance rather than excess, fits that philosophy neatly. She represents a modern Indian consumer who values success but also prioritises mental and physical health.
As part of the partnership, Thakur will feature in Carlton Wellness brand films, digital campaigns, experiential initiatives, and property launches. These rollouts will happen in phases across key markets, supporting the brand’s expansion into city-based and destination wellness formats. Instead of one-off endorsements, the collaboration is designed to build long-term brand credibility as Carlton scales its footprint.Carlton Wellness is being developed as an integrated wellness-hospitality platform. Its portfolio includes hotel and city spas, destination retreats, wellness resorts, and wellness-led residential and vacation home projects.
What sets the platform apart is its blend of clinical and experiential wellness. Offerings include Ayurveda, naturopathy, mindfulness practices, and hydrotherapy, combining traditional systems with contemporary experiences.
Several spa formats are expected to go live across partner locations soon. Flagship retreat and resort projects are also under development in cities like Ahmedabad, Indore, and Manipal, with further expansion planned across metro and Tier-1 markets. oup’s ambitions are backed by clear financial targets. Carlton Wellness aims to achieve revenues of Rs 80–120 crore in FY 2025–26, with plans to scale to Rs 180–250 crore by FY 2026–27. Growth is expected to come from a mix of spa operations, retreats, memberships, and licensing models.
This signals broader confidence in India’s growing appetite for structured, credible wellness ecosystems rather than standalone luxury experiences.
For Thakur, the partnership is personal. She has spoken openly about wellness being more than surface-level luxury. In her words, Carlton’s philosophy encourages people to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and focus on inner wellbeing, a message that resonates strongly in a fast-moving, high-pressure world.
As wellness continues to evolve from trend to necessity, this collaboration positions Carlton Wellness at the intersection of aspiration and authenticity. With Mrunal Thakur as its face, the brand is making a clear statement about the future it wants to build: conscious, balanced, and built to last.
