Meta has taken another major step into the wearable technology market with the launch of its latest AI-powered smart glasses, developed in partnership with eyewear giant EssilorLuxottica. Starting at $299, the new lineup combines stylish designs with advanced artificial intelligence features, including a special edition inspired by entrepreneur and media personality Kylie Jenner.

The new collection introduces three frame styles designed to suit different preferences. The Meta Adventurer features a classic rectangular look, while the Meta Fury offers a bolder design. The standout addition is the Meta Glasses by Kylie, a slim oval-shaped frame influenced by Kylie Jenner’s signature fashion style, marking her first collaboration in the wearable technology space.
Beyond the new designs, Meta has focused heavily on improving everyday functionality. The smart glasses include a built-in camera for hands-free photos and videos, open-ear speakers for music and phone calls, multiple microphones for voice interaction, and more than eight hours of battery life on a single charge. A foldable charging case extends the total battery life by up to 40 additional hours.

One of the biggest upgrades is the introduction of Meta AI powered by Muse Spark, the first AI model developed by Meta’s recently announced Superintelligence Labs. The assistant is designed to understand what users are looking at, answer questions about their surroundings, provide recommendations, manage schedules, and even deliver real-time information through simple voice commands.
The company has also expanded its live translation feature, which now supports 20 languages, including Hindi, Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin Chinese. This allows users to have conversations across different languages without needing to look at a phone.
Additional software features include Dynamic Photo, which automatically captures multiple images and recommends the best shot, and upcoming turn-by-turn pedestrian navigation that provides voice-guided directions without a screen.
The glasses are available in multiple colour options and support prescription lenses through Meta’s new Rx Lens Swap program, allowing users to customise their eyewear without affecting the warranty.
The launch highlights how AI-powered wearables are moving beyond simple fitness tracking into everyday personal assistants. Companies are increasingly combining fashion, artificial intelligence, and hands-free convenience to create devices that can capture content, translate conversations, answer questions, and assist with daily tasks without requiring users to constantly check their smartphones.
Meta has started selling the new smart glasses through its online store and selected retail partners in several international markets. However, the company has not yet announced pricing or availability for India.
