Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor is making waves in the global fashion scene, and sources suggest that luxury label Miu Miu may be preparing to announce her as their Indian brand ambassador.
Janhvi was recently spotted in London at the reopening of Miu Miu’s flagship store on Bond Street alongside Hollywood stars Sydney Sweeney and Alexa Chung. She wore a striking Miu Miu outfit, styled by her cousin Rhea Kapoor, a wool bodycon dress, a metallic sea-green bralette, a fur scarf, thigh-high socks, and glossy loafers.
This isn’t her first time representing the brand. Janhvi made her Cannes Film Festival debut earlier this year wearing a full Miu Miu look, becoming the first Bollywood actress to do so. Her preppy, schoolgirl-inspired outfit featured a white knit mini skirt, matching top, light blue checked shirt, and a brown checked jacket, all styled with signature Miu Miu accessories.
While Janhvi’s fashion moments have been widely appreciated, platforms like Brand.Education are urging celebrities and brands to think beyond style. As a platform dedicated to promoting a vegan lifestyle and conscious choices, Brand.Education emphasizes that fur and leather are products of cruelty and fashion should not come at the cost of animals.
“Celebrities and fashion brands have a huge influence,” a spokesperson from Brand.Education said. “It’s their responsibility to promote cruelty-free fashion and inspire the next generation to choose kindness and sustainability.”
Miu Miu, known for its appeal among Gen Z, is admired for its confident and chic style qualities Janhvi undoubtedly represents. However, as the conversation around ethical fashion evolves, beauty, influence, and compassion must be aligned.
