Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Xtreme 125R Dual-Channel ABS in India, priced at Rs 1.04 lakh (ex-showroom). This latest version of Hero’s sporty commuter motorcycle brings several exciting updates, especially in safety and technology, while keeping the same reliable performance.
Stylish New Design and Colours
The new Xtreme 125R keeps its bold, muscular design but adds fresh style with three new colour options: Black Pearl Red, Black Matshadow Grey, and Black Leaf Green. Each comes with updated graphics, giving the bike a sportier and more premium look on the road.

Smarter Features and Modern Tech
What sets this variant apart is its new ride-by-wire throttle system, which enables advanced features such as cruise control and multiple riding modes: Power, Road, and Eco. These modes can be easily switched using the segmented color LCD display, the same tech seen on Hero’s Glamour X.
In a major safety upgrade, Hero has made the Xtreme 125R the first motorcycle in its segment to offer dual discs with dual-channel ABS. This feature improves braking stability and rider confidence, especially on wet or uneven roads.
Engine and Performance
Under the tank, the Xtreme 125R is powered by the same 124.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, producing 11.5 hp and 10.5 Nm of torque. It comes paired with a 5-speed gearbox, offering smooth and efficient performance for both city rides and highway runs.

Competition and Positioning
Hero has positioned the Xtreme 125R as a premium commuter motorcycle, competing with popular models like the TVS Raider, Honda CB125 Hornet, and Bajaj Pulsar N125. Although it’s slightly more expensive than its rivals, around Rs 9,000 more than the top-end Raider, the Xtreme 125R stands out with its dual-channel ABS and ride-by-wire technology, features usually found on higher-end bikes.
The new Hero Xtreme 125R Dual-Channel ABS combines style, safety, and smart features to offer great value for daily riders who want both performance and technology. With advanced features like cruise control and dual ABS, Hero has clearly raised the bar for commuter motorcycles in India.
