Hero MotoCorp has taken another step toward cleaner, more sustainable transportation by launching the new HF Deluxe Flex Fuel motorcycle in India. Priced at Rs. 72,792 (ex-showroom, Delhi), this latest HF Deluxe model runs on E85 fuel, a blend of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent petrol.
The launch highlights the growing focus on alternative fuels in the Indian automotive sector as manufacturers work to reduce emissions and support the country’s ethanol-blending initiatives.
At its core, the HF Deluxe Flex Fuel uses Hero’s trusted 97.2cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The motorcycle has an updated engine control unit (ECU) and modified fuel-system components that enable efficient operation with E85 fuel. The engine delivers 8.4 bhp and 8.3 Nm of torque, slightly higher than the E20-compliant version.

Positioned as a premium variant in the HF Deluxe range, the Flex Fuel model costs Rs. 13,315 more than the standard HF Deluxe and is slightly pricier than the HF Deluxe Pro variant.
To visually distinguish the motorcycle, Hero introduced an exclusive black paint scheme with vibrant lime-yellow graphics. It also features a refreshed semi-digital instrument cluster with an analogue speedometer and digital fuel gauge, adding a contemporary touch to the commuter bike.
Safety and convenience also received attention. The HF Deluxe Flex Fuel comes standard with a side-stand engine cut-off feature, improving rider safety during daily commutes.

Mechanically, the motorcycle remains familiar to existing HF Deluxe customers. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers, while 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres provide durability and practicality. Braking is managed through drum brakes at both the front and rear.
The HF Deluxe Flex Fuel introduction shows Hero MotoCorp’s commitment to alternative fuel technologies while maintaining affordability and reliability in the commuter segment. As ethanol-based fuels gain acceptance across India, this model could encourage wider adoption of environmentally friendly mobility solutions.
