Newme, a fashion-tech brand focused on Gen Z, has opened its 25th store in India. The company now plans to open at least 25 more stores by the end of 2026.
The latest Newme store has opened in Vadodara at Kanha Capital in Alkapuri. This strengthens the brand’s presence in Gujarat and demonstrates its commitment to bringing its digital-first fashion experience to more customers in India.
Newme started as an online fashion platform but has quickly become an omni-channel brand that mixes technology, retail, and community experiences. Its stores are designed for Gen Z shoppers, with features like selfie spots, immersive displays, and curated fashion experiences that offer more than traditional shopping can.
Newme co-founder and CEO Sumit Jasoria says the 25th store is more than just a number.
This achievement shows that more young consumers want fashion brands that understand their tastes, speak their language, and offer both digital convenience and in-person experiences.
“What started as a digital-first idea has now evolved into a true omni-channel fashion movement,” Jasoria said about the company’s latest expansion.
Newme now has stores in 14 cities across India and is expanding into key markets. With the new Vadodara store, the brand now has four locations in Gujarat, including Ahmedabad and Surat.
The brand plans to grow quickly in both big cities and smaller Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Some of the next locations are Vizag, Ludhiana, Bhopal, Agartala, and Kolkata.
This approach follows a trend in India’s retail world, where more fashion brands see the buying power and demand from smaller cities, not just big urban centers.
While opening more stores remains a major focus, Newme is also investing heavily in its tech services. One of the main projects is Newme Zip, a quick-commerce platform now operating in Delhi and Bengaluru.
The service is meant to offer faster delivery and support the growing store network. By combining offline stores, e-commerce, and quick commerce, Newme aims to deliver a seamless shopping experience for modern shoppers.
The company thinks the future of fashion retail in India will depend on speed, community, and experience. This idea guides how it designs stores, connects with customers, and invests in technology.
Newme’s fast growth shows how much Gen Z shoppers are shaping India’s fashion market. This group cares about convenience, social interaction, and personal experiences, not just the products themselves.
By creating spaces that foster interaction and community, Newme aims to be more than a fashion store. The brand aims to become a lifestyle spot where shopping, social events, and digital ideas meet.
With 25 stores open and 25 more planned by year-end, Newme is set to grow among India’s fastest fashion brands. As it enters new markets and invests in technology, the company believes the future of fashion retail will be about building stronger connections with customers online and offline.
