Diary of a Contemporary Woman
Hi. I’m Lucy Pussett. My first novel, Diary of a Contemporary Woman was completed in the summer of 2021. I felt the world was crying out for a bright, engaging, sassy, sexy lead female MC! Angelique Santoro was the result of me breathing creative fire into my visions.
I woke up 3am, every day for 6 months without an alarm clock and created Angelique.
I turned dreams and visions into a storyboard. From here I spent three weeks exploring, developing my characters.
Then, I started writing chapter 1, not until.
My book is not Erotica. Its is a rare crossover book taking in women’s contemporary fiction, chicklit and Erotica. It cannot be pigeon holed into one neat genre, is not possible.

Having reached 34, Angelique Santoro finds herself feeling trapped and deeply unhappy within the constraints of traditional relationships. Uneasy to perform the role of life partner or girlfriend in the way society has designed for all women. Finally, she takes the courage to break free and becomes single for the first time in 15 years. Breaking away from the ties that bind us. Breaking away from the fear of being alone and lonely to become what she was always meant to be.
