Tilda Swinton has joined Cartier as its latest brand ambassador, bringing her distinctive screen presence and creative voice to the luxury maison’s latest project.
The Scottish actress makes her Cartier debut in a new campaign centred on the brand’s precious wild fauna creations. The project takes viewers into an imaginative world inspired by Cartier’s long-standing fascination with animals, craftsmanship and the natural world.
Rather than simply showcasing jewellery, the campaign focuses on the people and techniques behind the creations. Swinton lends her voice to a series of short films in which Cartier’s jewelled animals appear in theatrical settings, with the stories highlighting the artisans responsible for bringing these intricate pieces to life.
Traditional techniques, including gold lacquer, marquetry, mosaic, and paper bas-relief, play an important role in the films. At the heart of the collection is the Panther, one of Cartier’s most recognisable animal symbols.

Swinton’s narration gives the campaign a cinematic quality, guiding viewers through the imaginative settings while introducing the craftsmanship behind the jewellery. The films show how traditional artistic skills can be transformed into highly detailed pieces inspired by the animal kingdom.
For Swinton, the collaboration offers a chance to explore Cartier’s creative world through storytelling. She said she was proud to become a Cartier ambassador and highlighted the artisans’ dedication and the rare techniques used to create the maison’s wild fauna pieces.
The collaboration also continues Cartier’s long relationship with animal-inspired design. Over the years, creatures have played an important role in the maison’s jewellery and watchmaking universe, with the Panther becoming particularly closely associated with its identity.
Alongside the films, Swinton appears in a series of portraits wearing Cartier’s wild fauna creations as well as pieces from some of the maison’s signature collections. Her styling pairs the jewellery’s theatrical character with a more contemporary fashion setting.

For Cartier, the partnership brings together two worlds that rely heavily on creativity and craftsmanship. Arnaud Carrez, Cartier’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, welcomed Swinton to the Cartier family and said her creativity and commitment to her work connect naturally with the maison’s spirit and heritage.
The campaign marks Swinton’s first project as a Cartier ambassador and introduces a partnership built around more than luxury jewellery. Through film, storytelling and traditional craftsmanship, Cartier is using the collaboration to explore its fascination with the wild and the extraordinary skills involved in turning that inspiration into precious creations.
