Bajaj Auto has refreshed its popular Pulsar 220F by adding a long-awaited feature: a full LED headlight. The new version is priced at ₹1.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
This update follows changes made in late 2025, when the Pulsar 220F received new graphics, LED indicators, and additional colour options.
The main change for the 2026 Pulsar 220F is its new LED headlamp with built-in daytime running lights (DRLs), replacing the old halogen headlamp.
The new lighting makes the motorcycle look more modern and helps with visibility. Even with this change, Bajaj has kept the well-known semi-faired design that has made the Pulsar 220F easy to recognize for years.
Same Trusted Engine
There are no mechanical changes to the motorcycle.
The Pulsar 220F still uses its 220 cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine, which produces 20.9 hp and 18.6 Nm of torque. It has a 5-speed gearbox and offers the same performance that has made it a favourite for both touring and daily use.
Features Continue to Grow
The LED headlight joins the LED turn indicators that were introduced in the previous update.
The motorcycle also continues to offer features such as:
- Single-channel ABS
- Front and rear disc brakes
- USB charging port
- Semi-digital instrument cluster
- Four colour options
These additions help the Pulsar 220F remain competitive while preserving its classic identity.
Price Increased
With this update, the Pulsar 220F now costs ₹1.36 lakh (ex-showroom), up ₹8,000 from its previous price of ₹1.28 lakh.
Although the price is higher, buyers now get the LED lighting system that many fans have wanted.
A Motorcycle That Refuses to Fade Away
Even with more competition from new bikes, the Bajaj Pulsar 220F still has many loyal fans in India. Its comfortable ride, reliable engine, and sporty semi-faired design have kept it popular for almost twenty years.
Bajaj is also working on a major update for its Classic Pulsar range, with next-generation models already spotted testing. Whether the Pulsar 220F will eventually move to the new platform remains to be seen.
For now, adding an LED headlight ensures that one of India’s most iconic motorcycles continues to evolve while staying true to its original character.
