AU Small Finance Bank (AU SFB), which recently received in-principle approval from the Reserve Bank of India to transition into a Universal Bank, has announced Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor and pan-India sensation Rashmika Mandanna as its new brand ambassadors.
This strategic move aims to strengthen the bank’s national presence across metro cities, urban hubs, and deeper Bharat markets. With Kapoor’s influence among urban professionals and Mandanna’s connection with young audiences across India, especially in the South, the bank seeks to expand its reach with a balance of relatability and mass appeal.
The bank says the association will support AU SFB’s efforts to boost customer consideration for its flagship Savings and Current Account offerings. As the bank shifts to a visibility-led communication strategy, involving recognisable public figures will help highlight its customer-first approach.
AU SFB will launch an integrated 360-degree media campaign featuring both actors across television, digital platforms, social media, and print. The campaign will focus on customer experience, product features, and the bank’s expanding footprint nationwide.
Sanjay Agarwal, Founder, MD & CEO of AU Small Finance Bank, said: “As we prepare for our Universal Bank transition, building stronger customer consideration is crucial. Ranbir and Rashmika resonate with diverse audiences across regions. Their presence allows us to communicate with young professionals, entrepreneurs, and families more effectively. Our upcoming campaign will highlight our product strengths and reinforce our promise of superior customer experience.”
Ranbir Kapoor shared his excitement, stating: “Banking works best when trust, convenience, and meaningful products come together. AU has grown impressively while keeping customers at the centre. I’m happy to join the AU family as they deliver this experience to more people across India.”
Rashmika Mandanna added: “Banking is not just about transactions—it’s about being a reliable partner. AU SFB’s inclusive approach and customer-centric innovations, like the recently launched ‘M Circle’ for women, really stood out to me. I’m excited to be part of their journey as they continue engaging with young India.”
